I have tried to burn the ISO to a CD but that didn't work. The Alienware site describes that I should burn the ISO to a CD and press F12 and select CD to boot. I have also tried to make CD as first boot in the BIOS. What happens is that it's just starts the Windows 7 as normal.
I want to try to do it with a USB. Every forum I have seen is that people use ROM files.
I have a ISO file that I downloaded from Alienware site.
I have a Alienware M17x r3 (64 bit)
Nibitor doesn't want to read my bios.
I get this message: Can't start driver: 577
The purpose I want to flash my GPU to the newest is that some throttle issues has been fixed.
I have problem with throttling, And my temperature is getting to 75C. That is not that high whe this GPU can supprt 90-100C

Hello Microsoft,

The other day I purchased the windows 8 upgrade as a download, installed & worked fine. The next day out of no where on start up I was faced with 'We found a problem with your pc' on a light blue screen, resets and continues to loop. As I didn't have a physical copy of Windows 8, I had to find the evaluation copy, burn the ISO to a disc just to run the repair software. I selected to refresh my pc (keeping files, setteing etc)

After it had completed I find that I have lost all my settings and personal software which came installed to my laptop (Stuff like, AlienRespawn, AlienFX etc)

This has made me feel really unhappy because I cant find the software which MADE my laptop feel like an Alienware. As you could imagine, I paid a lot of money for this system, and upgrading to Windows 8 has made my PC into a not so Personal Computer.

& Now I'm stuck. I Found the CD for Windows 7 (that came with my laptop), so figuring I could downgrade to windows 7 with this CD thinking it would restore my Alienware software too (because it was an Alienware Windows CD) and then upgrading to Windows 8 again with all my alien software intact. which is why I'm now here...

Now here's my NEW problem!

Once I installed windows 7 it wouldn't connect to the internet because the Windows 7 CD for some reason didn't Install my network drivers, thus disallowing me from connecting to the internet (Wireless & Hardwire didn't work). As I had no internet access I couldn't get to the Microsoft website to download the windows 8 assistant so I had to Reinstall AGAIN using the ISO I burnt to a DVD earlier. Now as Im using it for an install rather than the repair.. It installed (this is whats in the corner of my screen) 'Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation' which is 'Valid for 90 Days' But now I'm back on the internet.. So I thought id go ahead and download the Assistant, get the downloader for Windows 8 and paste my licence key in... And now I'm faced with 'Windows 8 upgrade is not available for online purchase in your 'Country/Region' .. IT WORKED LAST TIME!? and my PC's Saved country/|Region is Set to United Kingdom.
