Also, hard-core fans might want to prepare themselves for a very important change to their beloved 'Star Wars' films with this release. The 20th Century Fox fanfare music that always played before each movie since the first 'Star Wars' film debuted in 1977 is no longer there, except for on 'A New Hope,' which 20th Century Fox still holds distribution rights for, according to various reports. But to be fair, we were warned in 2013 this would happen.
You can purchase the six-film collection or your favorite 'Star Wars' movies individually from various sellers below. Lucasfilm and Disney have yet to release their official price lists, and retailers can set their own prices, though the average seems to be $90 to $100 for the set or around $20 per movie.
Some digital retailers are offering collectibles and incentives for customers who buy 'Star Wars' movies through them, so be sure to look around first.
