Windows 10 Media Creation Tool is a free tool released by Microsoft. It can also be used to download the ISO images of Windows 10 and create a bootable USB flash drive.

You need to pick the option 'Create installation media for another PC' and then choose the option 'ISO file' to save the ISO file.

Is 1607 ISO media still available from MS? I'm unable to access 1607 media from the Media Creation Tool download. It only offers me three Edition choices and no Version choices. The media available is for 1703 only on my device.

Andre Da Costa suggests that the 1607 ISO is available for download in his excellent article HERE
I have tried to access this 1607 ISO from the drop down menu that Andre screenshots, but it cannot be found on my device.....I'm currently using 1703 15063.540 and very happy with that! I'm not trying to downgrade to 1607.
I'm simply trying to learn and later teach others how to access and create 1607 media if they cannot run 1703 on their systems, i.e. hardware incompatibility, etc.
FYI: A clean/custom installation is required when downgrading from 1703 to 1607 should you have 1607 media already on hand.
Anyone with clarification on this matter? Wondering if 1607 must be currently installed on a device, for it to be offered in the MCT download version drop-down menu? Wondering why the 1607 option is not offered to my device...perhaps because it is 1703 I have installed?
